I had fun tonight. I read the part of the Mayor in the The Lady is not for Burning, by Christopher Fry with the Printed Page Players. I have been reading with P^3 for the better part of a year. We have done some fun stuff and some dogs. Tonight's play was one of the better choices. I laughed so hard, I snorted. ;) I guess the P^3 is the brain child of the program director at the Tyler library. She said tonight that they have been going for about four years.
On the first Thursday of the month, we get together and read a play - cold, no rehearsal, at least not together. I try to read at least my parts and mark up the script ahead of time. Chris and I have both been on the bill together at least once before tonight. He read the troubled young man who ended up with the girl. Here is one of his lines: Thomas: What, after all, is a halo? It's only one more thing to keep clean." I am glad I have P^3 to add to the fullness of my life.
