Today I actually talked with the HR person at Sally! So far, I have been working with the head hunter. Jenee has been great and given me lots of information, but she is not the one behind my new pay check. I guess I have been waiting for someone to call back and say, sorry we goofed. This has all been so surreal. Now, it is one step closer to being real.
I plan to drive up this week-end and look at apartments and get a PO Box for the first year. Next week-end –the 20th—will be the big garage (everything) sale, the 27th will be Geoff’s graduation, and the week-end after that I bug out for Denton! Who would have thought things would move so fast. I had hoped for things to happen later in the Summer.
So how does God play into all this? I love the Celtic concept of the Swift Sure Hand. I made a choice to post my resume on Monster, and I believe the God in his love and care opened some doors. I had to make the choice to go through the doors. I knew that I needed a car at some point in the process because the van I bought in 1992 has 175K on it and should not be trusted on trips. I looked around and drove a few. Thanks to Kristi’s brother Dale, I was able to get one on Saturday in time to drive to graduation. For many reasons, I do not want to move the furniture in the house. I mentioned that to a friend on Sunday and may have half of it sold before I even put up the garage sale sign. I am thankful for God’s blessing and provision. I never want to take either for granted.
Blessed be the Swift Sure Hand who leads and guides!
