Sore and happy

Last night I played volleyball with a team from Sally for about 90 minutes! What fun. I have not played volleyball in I cannot remember how long. I decided that I could get to know some people outside of my work group by playing volleyball. I am a sub since we had a full roster already. Of the twelve, only 6 were out for the practice. We will see how the games go. I almost went to the season finale earlier, but I ran down to Tyler that week-end. Trips to Tyler will become fewer and fewer, though I will still family in the area for a while.

I did jam my thumb with enough force to have a bruise this morning. I have a few close moments with my left arm too. Annie is sure I have bursitis. I am sure that when I stretch the wrong way, sometimes, I know it right away. I did have an x-ray at the request of Dr. Nguyen. There was nothing on the picture to case concern (read: I am getting older).

I finally acted on my Tai Chi wish. I did not find a class yet, but I found a trainer in a box. I have done both routines a couple times and plan for now to mix this with my walking. So far, I am enjoying the movement. There is a theory describing a force that permeates the universe, so maybe the ancients were not that far off.

It is bursitis > http://www.webmd.com/content/article/78/95604.htm

I get it sometimes in my right shoulder after or during a marathon session of cataloging books at the computer. Beware!
