I finally have time to write about my trip to DC (Yes, Suzanne is out of town on a women's retreat if you must know. :-P ) I had a wonderful time with Nathan Thursday evening and Friday. Then I had a wonderful time with Nathan, Stephanie, and John Saturday through Monday. Steph and John stayed longer. Thursday, Nathan and I mostly eat and hung out. He was king enough to meet me at the Metro station. By the time I finally had to ride the Metro on my own on Monday, I was a seasoned tourist (as opposed to Nathan who is a seasoned pro).
On Friday, we walked all over the place. My picture of Nathan and me at the Summer House was blurry, so you will have to use their picture. Actually, most of their pictures are better. :) Click the picture to see the rest of the album. Nathan took us to some of the best tapas (several small dishes instead of one) places to eat. Oyamel was fun for Saturday lunch, but Zaytinya for Sunday dinner was amazing. Just that dinner was worth the trip. (Well and hanging out with the kids.)
I plan to write more, but right now I have some errands to run.
