New glasses

I got some new glasses the other day. Friday to be exact. So I had to take a picture to show you all. While I was taking a picture, I grabbed Suzanne to take a few snaps as well. We had a lot fun mugging for the camera.

Once I got the new glasses on, I noticed that the progressive part of the lens worked much better than the old pair I have since retired. I thought I would simply have two pair to exchange like shoes or ties, but I see so much better with the news ones at so many more distances. Using the old ones would be torture.

On another note, we skipped seeing a first run movie with some friends yesterday and went to a fantasy at the cheap seats. We saw Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Yes, as a cineophile, I had some problems with the film, but the kid in me loved it. I was profoundly touched by the simple message that Life is Magic. We need to believe. I would go so far as to echo the father in the New Testament narrative when he says, "Lord I believe, help my unbelief." Yeah, its a stretch, by heart was touched.

Very nice glasses. I like them. I have progressive lenses and like them alot. I have found them to act like a tri-focal for computer reading...an added benefit.

And I rtke my progressives off to read. Makes it hard to read and watch TV at the same time. AND my most frequent prayer is "I believe. Help Thou my un- belief."

I had trifocals first and then progressives. I finally had to dig out my old "trics" to read when lying down though, and I bought a pair of glasses just for computer work. I've got a total of 4 pair of glasses that I use at work and at home. Don't dare send pictures of me wearing them though. Not as good looking as yours.
