Helen, a story of beauty, war, and story

Suzanne and I went to see Helen last night at TWU. The story was an old one, but then what story is not an old one. The play told an ancient Greek story in the trappings of modern life. So much of the play could have be conceived today. The emptiness of celebrity, the futility of war, our uneasy relationship with what we worship. We were enriched by the experience.
